I have never tried any kind of martial art, is this still for me?
Absolutely no experience is necessary to learn Commando Krav Maga. In fact, many people come to learn self-defense not because they feel strong, but because someone made them feel weak or threatened and they decided to take back their power. Learning CKM is about growing inside and outside, and (re)discovering your own inner-strength.
Do I have to be extra strong or athletic?
No! In fact, self-defense is most valuable for people who bad guys might consider “easy targets.” We believe and are committed to the principle that any age, body type, or level of coordination can learn how to defend themselves. You also may surprise yourself with how much you can grow!
Is CKM going to hurt?
Commando Krav Maga can be intense, but we generally mimic the motions of striking and make sure to take good care of our training partners. We will make sure you have a fun, safe, injury-free introduction to CKM.
Is this really a family activity?
Great question! We are dividing up the adults and kiddos for age-specific programming. Kids will focus on some fun games that teach valuable safety practices, as well as learn what to do when an adult is threatening or attempts a kidnapping.
